Headway

Since January 2008, Matt has been delivering Drama workshops for Headway Derby. Headway is a brain injury association and works to help and support people who have suffered a brain injruy. They Workshops have covered topics in devising, relaxation and awareness as well as observation and storytelling. The workshops are set to be a regular project allowing the members to explore their creativitiy which mmay have been interrupted through their injury.

"When I first met the group of individuals who where interested in the drama sessions, one of them told me he was no lover creative, he could copy a picture but could not create his own. I asked him to tell me what he meant and show me what he could copy, but without paper - to relive his story. He told me a wonderful sotry about the first picture he copied and how he did it, showing me in the air the strikes he make on the paper. The man became a storyteller, an actor and a performer..."
